Amina Murić, Executive Director of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, is from Rožaje. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, Department of English Language and Literature. Since 2018, she has been a master’s student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Mediterranean University in Podgorica.
She has extensive experience in human rights protection, particularly for vulnerable groups and in strengthening civic participation. Her expertise includes research, policy development and production of reports on human rights and civil society, with a strong background in project management, public awareness initiatives and the use of creative methodologies.
She worked at the Railway Transport of Montenegro, where over a period of 10 years she held the following positions: English translator, associate on international projects, and PR manager. As a PR manager, she was responsible for the company’s public relations, press releases, communication, as well as the design and presentation of the company’s website.
Since April 2019, she has been engaged as a teaching assistant for the course Business English at the Faculty of Tourism, Mediterranean University, teaching first-, second-, and third-year students.
Throughout her professional career, she has also worked as a project assistant on several projects funded by international institutions such as the World Bank, the European Union, and the EBRD.
She loves movies, reading, cycling and traveling.
Kristina Žugić, Program Coordinator at the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, graduated from the Study Program of Serbian Language and South Slavic Literatures at the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro.
She began her professional career in 2014 as a co-founder of the NGO Eko Logika. Through this organization, she actively contributed to raising environmental awareness in the community as an educator with many years of experience working with children and adults, focusing on innovative learning methods, ecology, human rights, and the development of educational programs.
She founded and designed the School Garden program, which has been successfully implemented in Montenegrin schools since 2016, providing children with opportunities to develop knowledge about ecology and sustainable development through practical work. She further trained as a trainer for educators, which enabled her to share her knowledge and skills with other teachers and educators in primary schools. As part of her activities, she also designed and conducted workshops for teachers and educators on integrating ecological practices into the school system, thus contributing to strengthening educational workers in applying sustainable practices in education.
Her dedication to children’s education expanded internationally through the projects School4Cities (2018) and ClimCity (2022). At the same time, since 2018, she has been trained as an educator in the school of mental arithmetic and NLP, Brainobrain, where she applied modern methods for enhancing children’s cognitive abilities.
She further enriched her formal education through various trainings, including parental education programs based on the principles of Transactional Analysis (OKTA Center for Psychological Counseling) and the seminar School of Human Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Center for Anti-Discrimination EKVISTA).
Darija Begić is a graphic designer and illustrator from Podgorica. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, Department of Graphic Design, where she also completed specialist studies in illustration.
Through her years of work in a marketing agency, she gained experience in all areas of design related to the commercial market.
After that, she founded StudioFler and devoted herself to projects within her specific fields of interest. She collaborates with organizations that focus on human rights, animal protection, and ecology — topics that serve as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her.
She loves creating visuals that provoke thought and reflection, thereby contributing to the fight against injustice, violence, and discrimination.
